Dr. Torres, a board-certified internist and infectious disease specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, combines front-line clinical experience, academic research, and published work on infection prevention and emerging pathogens. Mr. Torres, with a background as a U.S. Army Captain and extensive leadership in real estate finance and operations at Savanna and USAA Real Estate, contributes proven skills in strategy, management, and resource optimization. Together, their blend of medical insight, operational discipline, and financial acumen creates a firm capable of delivering evidence-based, practical, and sustainable solutions to organizations seeking to strengthen infection prevention and control.

Dr. Heidi M. Torres is a board-certified internist and infectious disease specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center. She earned her M.D. from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 2016, following a B.S. from the University of Puerto Rico in 2011.
Dr. Torres completed her postgraduate training at Weill Cornell, serving as a Fellow in Medicine from 2021 to 2022, before joining the faculty as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in 2023.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Torres specializes in travel medicine and broader infectious disease care. Her clinical and academic work bridges front-line patient care and infectious disease education. She has contributed to significant publications, including studies on surface bioburden and the use of disinfectants in ambulatory care settings (2024), clinician guidance for monkeypox (2022), and investigations into hydroxychloroquine's efficacy in patients with rheumatic diseases during COVID-19 (2021).

Mr. Torres is the Director of Portfolio Finance at Savanna, where his responsibilities include valuations, operations and finance. Prior to joining Savanna in 2020, he worked in USAA Real Estate’s Multifamily Development Group

Mr. Torres received a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Development from Columbia Business School.
